Shirley Dolliole Spriggins, adoringly known to all who loved her as "Motherdear," submitted herself to the will of God on October 14, 2016 at 81 years of age.

Shirley was born on June 17, 1935 to the union of the late Albert Dolliole Sr. and the late Lucille Dolliole. She had five siblings; three sisters, Anita Dolliole Thomas, Delores Scott Young and the late Yvonne Dolliole Brown, and two brothers; the late Albert Dolliole Jr. and the late Leo Dolliole.

Shirley was raised in a devout Catholic family and received her formal education at Holy Redeemer Catholic School.

Shirley fell in love with the late William "Yom" Spriggins and the two were married on May 6, 1953. To that union five children were born: four daughters: Wanda Spriggins Taylor (the late Rev. Felman Taylor Jr.), Yvonne Spriggins Green (Meridith), Chicquita Spriggins Mayberry (George), Jennifer Spriggins Thompson, and her only son, William Spriggins III (Lawanda). They were married for sixty years before the Lord called William home. How blessed are they to be able to spend eternity together with the Lord.

Shirley was employed at the United States Custom House before becoming a full time homemaker. She was a proud member of the Ladies Altar Society of St. Augustine's Church and a member of the Six Sister's Savings Club.

She leaves to cherish her memories five children, two sisters, one brother-in-law, Willie Collins (Anna), sisters-in-law, Evie Dolliole-Duvernay and the late Yvonne Spriggins Murphy, devoted cousin, Jeanette Sylvester, ten grandchildren: Tanyeka, William IV, Ashanta, Lakeya, Jahmarl, Kandice, Devin, Shamonique, Jeanne', and William II; eight great-grandchildren: Tia, William V, Lance Jr., Tylah, D'Niah, Logan, Paul III, Skylar and Devin Jr., eleven nieces, eight nephews and three god children.
