"And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age." Genesis 15:15

James Clifton Andrews attained the 'good old' age of 92 entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2018 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Son of the late Winzor and Girtie Andrews. James could trace his lineage back four generations to his great grandfather, Wiley Andrews, born in Mississippi in 1831. James was the youngest boy among his five siblings Willis, Almarie, George, Sarah, and Jessie Mae. George, Almarie and Sarah preceded him in death. He attended school in Louisiana.

New Orleans was in his blood, he moved there as a young man, along with his brother George and remained there his entire life. It was often said "if you needed auto parts, visit Mr. Andrew."

He embraced the culture of the city and if the "Who 'Dat Nation" had a Mayor it would have been James Clifton Andrews. The Saints were his team and his loyalty was unquestioned. His family referred to him as the Saints biggest fan, and his 90th birthday celebration was all about the "Black and Gold." James was a loyal friend who believed in long term relationships, something he encouraged in those around him. It was often said that "everyone knows Andrew." He loved children, dogs and a good party.

He is survived by his wife Izora and leaves to carry on his legacy four daughters - Peggy Jackson (Sacramento); Patricia Andrews-Keenan (Chicago); Kerry (Rena') DeLavallade of New Orleans; Shawn Andrews (New Orleans) and bonus sons Brian (Daphne) West and Tracey (Cindy) West .
