Alphonse Johnson Jr. at the age of 83 of New Orleans, Louisiana went home to receive his crown on November 12, 2015. His transition occurred at home surrounded by his legacy.
Alphonse Johnson was born in New Orleans Louisiana to Alphonse Sr. and Martha Palmer Johnson. He entered the United States Air Force in 1950 as a young man ascending to the rank of Sr. Master Sergeant serving his country in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He married the love of his life Florida Mae Johnson culminating in a 60 year commitment. Alphonse is survived by his spouse, Florida Mae Johnson, three daughters, Jeannette Elizabeth (Brown), Jacqueline Ann (Smith), and Michelle Renee (Lawrence), ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of the family also Pastors, Officers and Members of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church are invited to attend a celebration of his life at 9:30 AM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church 2515 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans Louisiana, 70117 his place of faithful worship for more than 15 years.
